Terms of Use
Last updated 22 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Make One Learning Space Safer challenge, run by Amplified Access. By registering or taking part, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Data Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, registering for the challenge, or otherwise using this site, you confirm that you can form a binding agreement, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The challenge
The challenge invites participants to observe a problem in a place they use every day, plan one practical action, carry it out, and share what happened. The platform is provided to help you register, plan, and share your story. It does not supervise or direct the action you take. You are solely responsible for the action you choose and how you carry it out.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when you register.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- One account per participant: please do not register multiple accounts to represent the same person.
Taking action safely and lawfully
Before you take your action, the platform asks you to confirm a short safety checklist. By taking part, you agree that your action will be:
- Lawful: it does not break any law or local regulation.
- Safe: for you and for everyone else affected by it.
- Permitted: if the action needs someone else's permission, you have asked for it first.
- Non-harmful: it does not put any person, place, or property at risk.
- Respectful of others' privacy and dignity.
Amplified Access is not responsible for actions taken by participants. You take part in, and take responsibility for, your own action.
Content you submit
"Your content" means anything you submit through the platform, including your written answers, photos, videos, and documents. You confirm that:
- Your content is truthful to the best of your knowledge, and is your own work or you have the right to share it.
- Your content does not include other identifiable people without their knowledge, unless reasonable in the context of the photo or video (for example, a public street scene).
- Your content does not infringe anyone else's rights, and is not unlawful, defamatory, or harmful.
You keep ownership of your content. When you choose to publish your story (with or without your name, as described in our Data Policy), you grant Amplified Access a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and share that content (for example, on the public stories page, in reporting, or in materials about the challenge) for as long as you keep it published. You can withdraw this licence at any time by contacting us to have your story taken down.
We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms.
Prohibited conduct
When using the platform, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or plagiarised information or evidence.
- Use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another participant's account or to our systems.
- Upload viruses, malicious code, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Harass, threaten, or endanger any other participant or member of the public.
Third-party links
The platform links to third-party services we do not control, such as our community WhatsApp channel and the sign-in options provided by Google. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not this one.
Disclaimer
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome from taking part in the challenge. Nothing on this platform is professional, legal, or safety advice. You are responsible for judging whether your planned action is appropriate and safe.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amplified Access is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or from any action you take as part of the challenge, including any injury, loss, or damage that results from an action you or another participant carries out. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe puts other participants or the public at risk. You may stop using the platform and ask us to delete your account at any time. See our Data Policy for how.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date above whenever we do, and let participants know of any significant changes. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Amplified Access operates. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
